Just got my first bike! question
hey guys, so i've been biking with some friends for a while, had a blast and decided it was time to get one of my own.. i came upon a used Specialized bike and i just wanted to see what you guys think about the deal..

it is a 1995 Specialized Stumpjumper M2 with..
Psylo XT front Fork
Chris King Headset
Shimano XTR rear derailer
still the original Shimano V-brakes
Weyless Carbon Fiber handlebar
a WTB seat
and an odometer

i got everything, including a helmet for 380.. what do you guys think?

i took it out for its first ride today and it was great, and now i have the lightest bike amongst my friends.

Nice bike for a 'first-time' choice. You're not spending a lot of dough to get into it and you'll have lots of fun riding it. The hardtail Stumpy's are fast, quick-handling bikes, so take it easy on the downhills till you get used to the handling. It would be well worth your while to get a tune-up on the bike at a local bike shop as well. Once you're comfortable with the bike, consider going clipless and getting a good pair of cycling shoes. That goes for the clothing too. Good shorts and a jersey. Add a hydration pack, cause it'll heat up eventually. For now, the Specialized water bottles can't be beat. For the longer rides, put something besides water in the bottles, to replace minerals and salts that you may sweat out. It's a great sport. Remember, it ALWAYS hurts going up the hills, it'll just be more bearable. My motto is 'Suffer and suffer well..."
