Support your local bike shop
In these tough economic times, we all need to do all we can to support our local bike shops. Posted by Old gringo a 56 year old Cross-Country Rider riding a Ellsworth Truth from Chatsworth on 11/08/08

I did you old fool, I went and spent $85 on a Shim XT rear deraileur. Yes I could have gotten it cheaper on the internet, but I walked into the store and purchased it from my local shop. No box, no instructions, just the deraileur they grabbed from under the showcase glass. I wish the box and papers came with it I felt it may have been an OEM take off. But I did my part Saturday (no pun intended) Posted by Diamondback a 56 year old Cross-Country Rider riding a kona from tujunga on 11/08/08

When I recently had an issue with Ellsworth over a cracked frame, the Valley Bicycles guys came through for me. And on many other occasions over the years. Posted by Old gringo a 56 year old Cross-Country Rider riding a Ellsworth Truth from Chatsworth on 11/30/08

I am a firm believer on supporting my local bike shop,Performance Cyclery in Saugus,CA. I like when i buy something i can take it home and install it immediatly and not have to wait for it to come in the mail. Obviously if they don't have it i have to wait but thats ok. And if i find a deal on-line they will either match it or give me a good deal. I just got a new drive train for my Truth from Valley Bicycles, Chatsworth. They gave me a good price and installed the whole deal. They did a great job. Posted by Old gringo a 56 year old Cross-Country Rider riding a Ellsworth Truth from Chatsworth on 03/24/09
