What happened to the rest of the Discovery Team? Lance look PISSED when he said the team would have a "talk". Ouch.

He should be pissed, they got spit out the back soon as the pressure came on. Don't think he had his A game going either. Expect a lot more days like today 'cause if the others don't work together and attack repeatedly, they're racing for 2nd again.

Too much driving, and no one to share the duties with. Plus I did pick up a little work, so I'll be working next week. Rim Nordic for me.

This "talk" will have to be very gentle in my book as these guys ego has probably taken a big hit. With this crazy pace they've been setting, I think they got caught off guard and I think this was planned to see if they could shake his team. The real test will be after the rest day.

Off to the mountains!

Houston we have a problem.....

I don't think whats happening today is a good thing.Discovery is making a statement but at what cost? They are dropping everybody and flying uphill.I hope they are saving something.They've dropped almost everybody thats an overall threat. Could they have been sandbagging on that last stage?

Mike, I'm sure you're as excited as any TDF fan about what's taking place on the tour right now but I'd appreciate it if you guys stopped announcing times and winners. It ruins it for the people who can't watch it until tonight. At the very least, change the subject line to "TDF Spoiler".

Maybe, maybe not. Either way Valverde is a threat. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. He is downright bad arse when it comes to sprinting. He may end up high on the podium.

Unless Lance has a meltdown, 2nd and 3rd in Paris for Basso and Valverde (not necessarily in that order). Both these guys are good in the TT and good in the mountains but not good enough in both to take the win. Still don't know how Valverde will handle multiple hard days in the saddle. I think Vino's gonna make a comeback attack somewhere soon as he recovers - still an outside chance. All the others are already also-rans.

Well if we count the number of times I'm physically in the ER, then it's a whole bunch. Seeing as I work at the hospital and audit different departments (including the ER), it's kind of hard to avoid.
