1) From the San Fernando Valley head north on the 405 or I5. Stay on I5 north at the 14 split. Get off at Calgrove Blvd, turn left under fwy. Park at dirt lot about 1/4 mile past fwy. This is the entrance to Towsley Canyon or Ed Davis Park.
2) 5 North To Calgrove, left 1/4 mile to park entrance. A small sign is the only thing that shows a park is there! Enter the park and drive as far as you can go, maybe a mile. The road ends at a parking lot. Make sure you look at a bulletin board. There is a map of all the trails. There are many options to choose from. We went without checking this out and wished we had once we saw the map! There are maps and an overview of the park for you to take. Nice touch, the park is cared for, so take care of it.. 3) Get off the 5 (Golden State) freeway at Calgroove. On the west side of the freeway a hundered yards or so south of the off ramp you will see a turn off with a forestry gate. You can drive in and park up by the Ranger Station or stay outside the gate. I stay outside in case I am back after dusk. Thomas Guide page 4640
