The Boat Anchor Is No More
Banshee Scream = SOLD.

The barnacled bastard is on it's way to Mammoth to entertain someone else...or in my case...hurt someone else...

I didn't get much mileage out of her, but she got plenty out of me.

Goodbye and good riddance....

Dude, I needed a friggin forklift just to get that thing downstairs to the mail room here at work.

The Dark Side for me is now waking up at 4am to ride until 8am...only to go to work at 9am...then ride or run at lunch, then swim, bike(again) or run from 6:30 till' around 9ish. It can be brutal, but the payoff is awesome. I've never felt better and don't have to worry about killing myself while having fun. I may be more tired, but less battered and bruised..

      :)

My SS 29er weighs in at a hefty 20lbs. My 2 geared 29ers weigh in at 22lbs a piece.

thats too bad, I'm a fan of the banshee and the chaparral. the banshee was one of my alternatives back in 2001 to the bullit. sorry to see the 37lb'er go.

thats a terrific comeback Crzy....for a 12 yr old.....and hey "valley trash", you never been to any watering holes here in hollywood so what do you know about the Cat and Fiddle? I bet you never had a drink at the Well, Velvet Margarita, 4100 or even The Formosa. Stay in the Valley and enjoy the sanitized comforts of TGIF, Olive Garden and Applebees. And gosh, dont even think of going to Universal Citywalk, its way too dangerous for you!

I love you. You are so Hollywood.

The fact that you even think trashing the valley (or any place someone lives) is in any way funny, is just pathetic. I do remember when it was funny, 20 or so years ago when the movie "Valley Girl" came out. Get out of the 80s man. Duran Duran is not cool.

you didnt address my question. Have you or have you not been to the above mentioned watering holes.

"what do you know about the Cat and Fiddle? I bet you never had a drink at the Well, Velvet Margarita, 4100 or even The Formosa.
"I swear to god, youre like my dumb boss at work, ask her a question about one thing and she goes off on a tangent about something else. Here's an example of how she (and you probably work)

Question "how come I can't have July 4th and 4th off, I put in for it 2 months ago"
Answer: "well...I'm working that day too"
Question "what does that have to do with me ?"
Answer (walks away thinking she answered that correctly)

                      Does that address your question?

Oh, just so you know....I'm not pathetic enough to justify your question with any sort of valid answer. I don't think my status as a human being will change if I've been to any of those bars before. I know it'll make you feel better if I say no...because then you will be much cooler than me...cause you've been to those hip, cool places that mean so much to society's coolness.

It can get real old, riding piggy bikes. The slow slogging of the pedals as you mash a granny gear up a mountain, to a constant repetition, can make one wonder, why in the hell they're doing this to themselves! Light is right! But that's a biased opinion of an XC weenie!

We all know how we feel. Since there is no moderator, let's moderate ourselves. We all ride bikes here and like good beer. None of us, can't be all that bad. So let's let it go and move on!

Make sure the seat is tilted forward at a 45 degree angle. Otherwise, your bar ends won't allow you to climb correctly.

            Because it's stupid? ---Crzyridr33

is it stupid to want to enter wknd xc races and train all week when there is no purse?

is it stupid to be on a bikeshop racing team when you dont get paid?

is it stupid to xc train and fall and accidently fracture a bone and be out for awhile?

is it stupid to train for a triathlon when there's no chance to ever place?

is it stupid to train on your time off and not spend that time with your kids or spouse?

is it stupid to flog on weekends?

so it maybe stupid to ride a 36lb Bullit w/ shortie 45mm bar ends but maybe the previous things are as well.

I rode at lunch.....and I'll be riding tomorrow at lunch. We have a killer climb right outside the studio that my wife and I ride every lunch. We call it 'Trash Truck Hill'. It's a stinky biiaatch...because the Griffith Park landfill is at the top..... :)

I'll be riding Saturday....probably 80 or so miles....

Have fun on Blue Ridge and in Big Bear, Regis.. :)

Thank You STP!!! This guy has no concept what makes others happy. You enjoy flogging for nothing on the weekends, others enjoying making no money racing on a team, Crzy loves riding up a stinky hill with his wife. I like these damn bar ends. So who is he to decide what is stupid? Paz Afuera, heal up soon
