even longer mid week epics, anyone?
How about up San Juan trail, climb Chiquito around to Blue
Jay to Old to New SJ and down for a days work to keep us
from getting bored waiting for the snow to melt? Or LP, or
anything? Anybody? I'm getting a lot of grey hairs doing
this alone every day or so. My wife keeps yelling at me for
riding alone so much, help me out. Only been out here for a
couple of mo

  • Real "EPICS", anyone?
Here's one for ya, Why don't we get a group of riders together and do a Real "EPIC"....

How bout the OC to LV EPIC Challenge???
    (Orange County to Las Vegas)
Maybe go from the Anaheim Stadium to the MGM or to the SAM BOYD "Silver Bowl"..... Or whatever looks like FUN!!!

Nothing is set in stone, But its a "Do-able" Offroad ride.
It would probably take a week (5 to 7 days), We would need to get a couple Topo maps of the area between the two points. We would also need some support vehicles for food and equipment.
We would probably need to do it in spring time due to the weather, And it'll take me awhile to get into riding shape for something like this.

    ARE YOU CRAZY ENOUGH???

Let me know of your ideas (Positive only please)

I am always up for rides like these. I could also provide support with my wife driving. Let me know if you come up with dates and specifics. Here is a road bike ride (I always prefer the dirt as a first choice) we are doing in a couple of weeks as well:

January 31,Friday, Is the start day of the 12th Vegas Challenge.
      3 days 275 miles/bike 13 miles/run
Jan 31, we start at Palm Springs 6:00am and ride to Baker approx 185 miles, spend the night in Baker at the Bunboy Motel.
Feb 1, we ride from Baker to Vegas Approx 95 miles.
Hotel in Vegas to be determined, put the feed bag on at the Rio Buffet, party.
Feb 2, we run in the Vegas marathon, start at the 13 mile mark and finish at our hotel.
Feb 2, We drive home, and or drop back off at the start point in Palm Springs.
Last year 24 people finished and we also had 3 sag cars for equipment and clothes.
Hard, but fun trip, to all those interested.
