from highway 280 take the sunnyvale-saratoga exit towards saratoga. at hwy 9 travel towards hwy 35. park at intersection (this is the saratoga gap). a map board is posted at trailhead. It is possible to take single track all the way along skyline hwy (hwy 35) to palo alto hills. if you head into the cyn it is also possible to travel on fire roads to palo alto hills. loops can range from 12-30+ miles. steep altitude changes. bring all your water. none is available. on the weekend there is a junk food stand in the saratoga gap pkng lot-he sells bottled water. have fun!
