 Maybe Going Retro

I rode my friend's Seven HT last weekend with an Easton bar and bar ends, and forgot how comfortable climbing on a HT w/ ends are.
I just may put an EA70 straight and bar ends on the Raleigh Green Meanie. I already have an EC70 but I stupidly hacked an inch from each end so bar ends wont fit properly.
Anyone else thinking going retro on their HT?

I wish I still had bar ends. I miss them on my risers. I don't know why they ever fell "out" of MTB style.

I have used a flat bar with bar ends on my Gunnar from the beginning. And yes it is comphy climbing. There is an array of hand posture to move around for that right feel too. I just feel there are a lot of advantages on a ht anyway. I just pu an Answer 1" carbon riser on my M-4 and am afraid to even jump it off the curb for fear they'll snap in half (they feel great though). I got 'em for a song but am going to stick back the EA70 flat bar back on with light, short bar ends. I'll have peace of mind.....what was I thinking?
