 me and my bike vs. a car and i lost
Ok i only been ridding a road bike for less than a month just to mix up the training for mountain bike racing. I was really getting into it and never thought i would but i love it. Ok long story short I got cal state/am cup race next week been training hard and what do you know i get in a accident with a car. I had the green light through the intersection he right turns onto the road on a red light not giving me time to stop would be ok if he didn't make and right turn into a parking lot right away so i hit the side of his car. I tell ya what road bikes can just stop at all slid with brakes locked probably about 30 to 40 feet luckily slowed me down enough to like 15 miles an hour so all the parts on the bike or just trash frame is still good got a messed up shoulder calf and knee. The question is what should i do. I got the guys insurance he is with AAA and this is taking forever i was finally able to talk to someone about it like 3 days later must have had to call like 4 different numbers they gave me. So what should i do? should i get a lawyer? should i just try to do this on my own? i am not looking to make money here i just want to get healthy and get back on the road bike as soon as possible. The longer i am without the road bike the more pissed off i am getting. So any suggestions?

    If they don't take care of things to your satisfaction, get an attorney.
