Yo Shreddin, my buddy and I wanna ride the Viper trail too. We're from the San Fernando Valley and have been riding trails in Simi alot.

I'm pretty sure I know how to get to the trailhead, there's a user named "Steve K" that's been riding the Viper Trail a bunch lately. We need to all meet up with him.

I rode Viper today, it was incredible, yea, it had ruts from the rain and was a bit overgrown towards the bottom, but holy cow what fun...and yea, I bailed twice over the bars, it was one of those oops, picked the wrong line down one of the steeper sections, got right back on and bailed again, the best part was the hikers below got off the trail to let me go by, I said "nothing like crashing with a audience watching" they laughed and said "at least you got right back on it" but really this is a a$$ kicker trail, it combines a serious workout pedaling up to the trail head with a crazy downhill run back to the bottom, I will be riding this one a whole bunch, and you end up right where you started at the park and ride.
I used to ride these mountains 27 years ago, now the cholesterol is high and belly is flabby so i gotta get out and do something about it, this trail is the bomb, when you are done you feel like you really rode hard (at least at my age) so to anybody who wants more than a moderate safe ride, try this one, you will feel very amped and alive. And for those who shred this thing and think "yea it was ok" I bow down to you.

rode viper today, i forgot how much of a grind the climb is.It was 3.75miles to the turn off to the viper trail once you leave the park and ride. the descend was awesome as usual still lots of ruts on the trail but that makes it much more challenging. Some areas are overgrown but with more riding we should be able to clear it.A couple of rock gardens to bomb thru, and i saw a 3ft rattle snake lying right in the middle of the trail so becareful they are coming out now.I would like to do this trail more often if anyone is interested call me at 805-207-9713or 805 248-1838.
