 Vertical PK7
Hi... my name is Scott and i am from Grand Forks, North Dakota. Yesterday my mom picked me up and wanted to buy me a new bike since my other bike got stolen about a year ago, I have been walking everywhere i can since then. Anyway my mom took me to Target and told me to pick which one i like. Of corse there wasn't any GT's, Giants, or Trek bikes there. BUT out of all of them i found this Vertical PK7, It was cheap, and had full suspension. I thought for the money this was totally cool. I was just wondering how this bike holds up. I am not a hard rider and most of the riding is on city streets or gravel alleys, and now that i have a bike again i will probably ride it everyday. So is this a good choice? I didn't want to hurt my moms feeling by saying i wanted a differant kind that was way to expensive for her to afford. Also i thought anything is better then walking.
Any of your comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

    Dear Scott---

Your Vetrical bike isn't going to be the bomb that all your buddies wish they had.Its not on radar with the other $300 + bikes that you've mentioned as well.

However, I have a relative who is a single mother, and she bought her 12-yr-old son a Vertical BMX bike from Target. He loves that bike because it was a gift for his birthday last summer.

Your bike is also a gift, so enjoy it and when things get to where you can buy a better bike, get one.
But remember that your mom worked hard for that bike and not everyone can afford an expensive bike.

Your mom is pretty generous. The vertical bikes are a lot better than many others out there. Some of my friends in Boy Scout troop just went on long mountain bike ride in Angeles National Forest and the bikes held up well, so they are even good off-road. Like all bikes, however, they all need small adjustments from time to time. Anyways, glad you got a cool bike and hope you enjoy riding it.

Thanks for all the info you gave me about the vertical. So far i have put alot of miles on the bike and have had no problems exept for minor adjustments. once it gets to cold to ride for the winter i plan on taking it all apart and going over everything so it will be ready for summer.
SteveK i wish i lived by you guys... sounds like you guys have fun riding. Anyways im so glad my mom bought it for me ... i think it is a great bike for the money.
    Thanks again
    Scott
