pk ripper with snapped off seat tube
ppl in the uk dont seem to interested in these so i thought id try here, i have a pk looptail that i got in 84 from a friend of a friend, it was fitted with a nylon fibre uni seat post and the flexing caused the top of the tube to break off, i was gonna grind the top down and cut slots under the top tube to fot a hinged seat clamp and build the bike back up for my 9 yr old son ( but he dont want it!)its stripped down to the bare alloy at the moment, it was a very good bike in its day and very fast when i put mongoose pro class rims on it, i also sprayed it dayglo orange HAHA

anyway if i get a reasonable offer on the pk then i would part with it, i also have the original landing gear forks, cw flat top bars

i noticed your interest in the p.k ripper with the snapped seat tube from earlier in the year.

Today, Friday the 13th of September 2006, I snapped off the seatpost of my PK Ripper 1983 Looptail. My seatpost had bent (cheap rubbish alloy from unnamed UK bmx website), and put i put in the original cut down one (not far enough, obviously). Sat on it twice, and saw it just fall off, along with the clamp, and the bit of the frame still clamped!
Anyone interested as I may break it up to sell, or to someone who can restore. It is chrome with blue bits, black decals. I have 1 rear dia-compe 1000 NOS (blue), a pair of Dia-Compe 901s in blue (only the front one used), Suntour stem (Blue), Aero seat, Odyseey brakes (blue), tight chain for great torque, wheels just balanced at Evans, new tyres, etc, etc. Any ideas / offers, let me know! In Central London / SE London.
