A Female Rider Looking For Answers
hello, my name is Samantha, I am a 20-year-old female and I am very interested in BMX riding... I am VERY new at it... but I want to learn! and I was wondering what the best bike would be to get?? and if you have any tips to help me they would be very appriciated! I am hoping one day to get good enough to maybe go to a competition, and hopefully win... I am currently in the Tampa, FL. area anyone know of any good parks to start off at?? or should I say very secluded (very shy when I don't know what I am doing) park... please get back with me... ASAP!! thank you for your time, Gotta Blaze... Sammie K.

    Samantha,
It's pretty simple really. I raced for 12 years off and on so I know the score. Your most affordable bikes would be either Redline or Free Agent. With redline you want to look at the Redline Pro Line if your over 5'9 you'll need an XL. On Free Agent try either the Raceway or the Limo. Basically you want an aluminum frame, hollow 3 piece cranks, and a chromoly fork. You can find them for about 400.00 if you look hard enough. Also it's the end of the year right now alot will be on sale. I sell Free Agent at my shop and they just reduced the prices on all '05 bikes.

    Good Luck!!!

A Redline is but they cost ALOT! and I mean ALOT!! My friend thinks around $1,000. I got a huffy its really old but it works you know me the Road Warrior. Ride the road like its a video game and if you race in competition try to get a inside gate and try to petal always on the track and if you see big guys speedin around corners if you start like that I bet that you'll be in the dust right away. I know what it feels like. Sorry about the park part i don't live near Tampa. And about your user name it maybe true. GOTTA GO SO SEE YA.
